What is Oh Snap!?
Oh Snap! is dedicated to transforming STEM education by providing Snap Circuits® kits to schools and programs. Our mission is to make learning electronics accessible and fun, empowering students with hands-on experiences that ignite curiosity and foster a lifelong love for STEM. Supported by educators, we aim to bridge the gender gap in STEM fields by ensuring every student has the tools to succeed.
How it works
- Schools & afterschool programs apply using the form.
- We verify eligibility (Grades 3–6; located in TX, CA, or CO).
- Kits are mailed and volunteers coordinate classroom visits where available.
Eligibility
Open to public/private schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, YWCA, Girls Inc., and similar afterschool programs located in Texas, California, or Colorado. Priority given to Title I and underserved schools.
Oh Snap! Program Overview
Build Exciting Projects
With the Snap Circuit kits, students can create projects like FM radios, digital voice recorders, and burglar alarms, enhancing their understanding of electronics.
Educational Benefits
High-Tech High Heels has a series of educational videos from female engineers teaching students about circuits and how to create specific design in an engaging way. We also provide instructions and hand-on help when possible.
How to get kits
If application is approved, kits are mailed to the teacher with the necessary batteries.

We have 800 new kits available thanks to a generous grant from the Vantor Corporation. Schools and programs in Texas, California, and Colorado are encouraged to apply.
