Our mission is to increase the number of North Texas girls graduating from high school who are entering a college-level degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).

Programs funded by High-Tech High Heels include:

Equity Training for Educators
Builds awareness, enhances skills in equity teaching, provides research based-strategies and coaching

STEM Career workshops for Educators
Informs counselors, teachers and administrators about STEM careers and dispels stereotypes

Physics Camps for High School Girls
Raises awareness of opportunities in STEM, boosts confidence and prepares students for Advanced Placement Physics

We connect STEM professionals with local organizations to inspire and encourage middle school and high school students, especially under-represented minorities, to pursue careers in STEM fields.

High-Tech High Heels at Work
HTHH board member and TI employee Kristen Parrish explains the technology behind autonomous vehicles and the break-through innovations that will soon allow cars to drive by themselves. Watch the video and vote for her to give a SXSW2015 talk entitled “Under the hood: tech behind autonomous vehicles”, where she'll talk about the technology that allows autonomous vehicles to evaluate and assess the world around them, and how vehicles will be taken from partial to full autonomy in the future.

2013 AP Physics Camps
Two AP Physics Summer Camps held at Dallas ISD and the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) gave nearly 80 North Texas girls an exciting, hands-on STEM learning experience. The 2013 camps were hosted by NAPE (National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity Education).
